Thanks for responding.
Here's the message I got when I tried to play the .dat file by mplayer
on the terminal.
=============================================================================
Creating config file: /root/.mplayer/config
MPlayer 29092-4.4.0 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: No such file or directory
Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.
Playing /media/mayapur_darshan/MPEGAV/AVSEQ01.DAT.
Seek failed
Exiting... (End of file)
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
=============================================================================
The same file copied to hard drive in Windows, the same .dat file
plays nicely in Fedora.
Thanks
Regards,
rtnpro
