Its only 24 GB because it has only the i386 packages.

This had to be done because we did not have a gui script at that time.
Now if we get the script, the .repo file can be generated
automatically.

Very true. We did not actually use rsync to grab the repo, instead it
was done on windows using the selective site grabbing feature of
Interned Download Manager(Multithreaded) since I couldn't find a
multithreaded alternative for Linux (Do not say axel) and I was in
kind of a hurry. So I did not bother to do the gpg checking as I was
not sure it would work, though I never really tried it.
