[dgplug-users] New User - Wanting to start Hospital Management on RoR

Hallo All. Wishing you a happy Diwali ,though a bit late :)

I have been subscribed to this mailing list for the last one and half
year. I wanted to join this year's summer training but due to some
personal reason i could not stick around for long. But now the situation
is resolved and I very much want to join a free software project as
described in dgplug.org. My motivation -

1> to contribute back to community whose passion and hard work has
contributed to growth of linux.

2>to improve and enrich my skillsets

3> to have fun and loving the work which i do.

My background: I have completed my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering this year from Institute of Engineering
and Management ,kolkata and currently i am preparing for GATE exams.

About my motivaton for using linux : I have done my RHCE one year ago.
I can manage basic installation,maintenance and troubleshooting of
current RHEL/Centos and Fedora systems. I have also tried Ubuntu and
opensuse.

.i have also done some rpm and deb package management using fakeroot
environment.

.i like using bleeding-edge distros and reporting and squashing bugs.

. i am currently using archlinux.

After going through the projects listed on wiki.dgplug.org, i want to
start the project "Hospital Management on RoR". But i want your valuable
advice on what kind of project i should choose as a beginner,given my
background ?
