* How did you learn about the training?

I stumbled across dgplug when I was searching for summer trainings, a
couple of years back.

I am not a familiar face, since I didn't take part in the training
actively. I used the logs available on the site. As far as changing my life
is concerned, it surely did. I started coding in Python and started loving
it.

As far as open source contribution is concerned, I am a newbie. I started
contributing just a couple of days back. I am currently contributing to
DDG, trying to fix small bugs. I hope to soon contribute to projects like
Fedora.

One mistake which I made when I started my college life was that I got
intimidated very easily. I thought of contributing to the open source when
I was in my 2nd year, but got intimidated. I had this fear that I am not
good enough to contribute. But once you start contributing, you realise
that the open source community is much more welcoming than it seems. I have
been using Github for the last 2 years approx. And I learnt more about git
in the past month, once I started contributing, than I learnt in my
previous years. I realised it pretty late. Hope you realise it sooner.
