Kali is a pentesting distribution so I don't know why you would use it 
as a daily driver. Unless you are comfortable to translate instruction 
given in the class to whatever system Kali has, you should stick to 
fedora. Regardless it is your wish but don't waste time trying to fight 
the system instead of enjoying the classes.
